What is EscapeMap?
EscapeMap is an interactive tool created by Opodo to enable travellers to find cheap flight deals worldwide in seconds. Instead of having to run dozens of flight searches yourself, trying out different destinations and dates, you can use EscapeMap to see Opodo's best flight prices to hundreds of cities . at a glance, on the map.

It's quick, it's handy and if you love finding cheap flights and getting new travel ideas, you may find it's a little addictive.

How do I use EscapeMap?

1. The first step is to use the dropdown lists to choose with UK city you'd like to fly from, and what continent you'd like to travel to. This will bring up a map of the continent you've chosen, plus further options, such as flight price bands, travel date bands, continent sub-regions, and special travel interests you may be on the lookout for, such as culture or adventure sports.
2. Check at least one of the available options and EscapeMap will display the cheapest flights matching your criteria. You can select more than one special interest at a time. You can also select a new UK airport or continent at any time to start fresh.
3. Click on a flight price to see a flight summary pop-up, including the dates and airline.
4. Click the link in the pop-up to display a page showing you a range of flight deals with different dates to that destination. You can either select the exact flight you had seen on EscapeMap, or search for different dates, using the search tool.

How up to date are the prices on EscapeMap?
EscapeMap automatically collects the best flight prices for destinations from www.opodo.co.uk every morning, so they are never more than 24 hours old. If the flight price shown on EscapeMap for a destination goes up when you click through to the flight results for those dates, it means that the lowest-priced fare has sold out since the last EscapeMap update (and if the price goes down, it means a cheaper fare has since been introduced).

Why do all the flights in EscapeMap depart midweek and last around seven days? The EscapeMap prices are based on precise dates. As such, they are intended mainly as examples only, as every traveller will have his or her own preferences on travel dates and trip duration. Flights departing and returning midweek are usually the cheapest, so EscapeMap displays these. If you don't want to travel on the pre-set dates, use the range of prices and dates you see on the destination pages to work out when looks the cheapest time to go, and run your own search.

Why can't I find more obscure travel destinations on the map?
If EscapeMap displayed prices for every single destination you could possibly fly to in the world, the result would be visual chaos, with every inch of the map covered. So EscapeMap displays prices for Opodo's top 265 destinations only . a tempting selection for even the most gung-ho globetrotter.
